Only a short drive from the outskirts of Dublin lies this popular Co. Meath golf course. Summerhill is a mixture of undulating parkland and moorland and is fit enough to text the very best. It is a tight course in many respects, with few level stances, which can put the bigger hitters into a spot of bother. There are nine holes, with the capacity to play a full 18 courtesy of different tee boxes on each hole.
The gravel subsoil greens are a big plus point here and often the focus of praise from visitors. Plans are already underway about extending the layout to 18 holes and, considering it currently stretches to 6, 384 for 18 holes, the new layout should be even more punishing.
