This course only came into being in 1997, joining a host of golf clubs that were already up and running in the County of Meath, including Royal Tara, Navan, Summerhill, Headfort and Ashbourne.
Despite the stiff competition and the fact that it is only a nine-hole, South Meath has stood up well and remains a very popular tract with visiting goflers from near and far. The course was designed with wide fairways that allow you to open the shoulders on the tee, though, beware, as beautiful, mature trees line some of the fairways and can trap balls effortlessly. Visitors are welcome at all times through the week.
