This course falls into the category of so many golf courses in Ireland - it's scenic but testing. Tipperary Golf Club lies a mile outside the town off the R664 and the scenic part is mainly provided by the presence nearby of the Cordangan woods and the Galtee mountains. The club was founded in 1896 and members originally played on a nine-hole course.
That has since been extended to the full 18 and it certainly lives up to its reputation as being a test. The fairways are tree-lined and, if that's not enough to have you worrying as you stand over your tee shot, then the water hazards and strategically-placed bunkers on some of the holes should certainly do the trick!
