Course Description

Bantry Bay is located in the south of Ireland amidst the scenic beauty of West Cork. It is one mile from the town of Bantry, a well-known tourist centre with many attractions such as the ever-popular Bantry House. The course, however, is breathtaking, with 14 holes overlooking the shores of the Bay where the warm Gulf Stream first touches land on this side of the Atlantic. To the north are the Mountains of Beara and to the south is Sheep's Head and Mizen. Tireless course architect Eddie Hackett originally designed the course before the ever-popular Christy O'Connor Jnr made extensions in 1996.
