Newcastle West, in the delightful Irish County of Limerick, is a new course set in 160 acres of unspoilt, quite countryside and built to the highest standards on sandy, free draining soil.
The club was founded in 1938, although moved to the quaint little village of Ardagh in 1994, now its current site. Ardagh, incidentally, is famed as the finding place of Ireland's National treasure 'The Ardagh Chalice'.
The new course, designed by Arthur Spring, has been built to the highest standards on sandy free-draining soil and is in year-round tip-top condition.
