In the heartland of Mid-Ulster, enjoy one of Ireland's premier golfing experiences. Moyola Park Golf Club is set in the beautiful wooded parkland of Shanemullagh, a Georgian House occupying 130 acres. It has been transformed into the present course by well-known Ulster golfer Don Patterson and Landscape Architect Alan Smith, who have succeeded in blending the layout of the course with the rural parkland location. It is widely considered one of the best parkland courses in Northern Ireland with every hole featuring a different layout requiring a variety of shots to challenge and delight every golfer whatever their handicap.
As you make your way around the course, your golfing skills will be fuly tested, including a gentle draw or fade or sometimes just a straight and accurate shot to make sure you set up your chance to hit the green in regulation. Fairway shots between the many rows of mature trees need to be accurate to give you the opportunity to save par.
Our signature holes, the 8th which involves a second shot across the Moyola River to a green surrounded by trees and bunkers and the 17th, while a relatively short par 3, generally regarded as one of the most attractive golf holes in Ulster is surrounded on all sides by the Moyola River and is well protected by trees and bunkers.
