Course Description

Headfort in County Meath, is a progressive and welcoming golf club in the north-east of Leinster that is home to not one but two of the finest parkland courses in Ireland. The Christy OConnor Jnr designed New Course, meandering around the river Blackwater, takes pride of place with 13 of the holes featuring a water challenge on a lay-out with that wow factor. Top course designer OConnor Jnr has built a course at Headfort to test and delight every golfer, from the society member to the European Tour pro, all of whom are afforded the same Cead Mile Failte by Headfort members and staff alike.

Most recently the New Course was rated in the 'Top 30 Best Parkland Courses for 2012', ranked at 11th position by Golf Digest and 8th position by Backspin. One thing is sure - after 18 holes on either of the two Headfort courses you will want to come back.
