The event, which will be held at County Sligo, was won last year by Robin Dawson, but he wont be able to defend his title won at Royal County Down as he has turned professional and is looking forward to competing on the European Challenge Tour.
Alan Kelly, of the Golfing Union of Ireland, said: "We can't wait to take the Flogas Irish Amateur Open to County Sligo. Obviously there is a strong tradition of hosting major events at Rosses Point and bringing our blue riband international event west is an exciting prospect for everyone involved.
"Flogas have brought incredible savings to golf clubs across Ireland and I encourage all clubs to check them out for potential savings across their range of energy options."
