Kanturk (derived from the Gaelic 'Ceann Tuirc' meaning Boars Head ) Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course which sits about three miles off the busy Mallow-Killarney road from Ballymacquirke Cross in Co Cork. The club was founded in 1972 by a group of local businessmen, a nine-hole course being built by the efforts of the founding members. From these humble beginnings the club flourished and further land was purchased, enabling the course to expand to 18 holes in 1994. There are lots of trees on the course and, during your round, you will enjoy some spectacular views. Visitors are urged to book in advance while food should also be ordered by pre-arrangement.
