Course Description

One of the newest additions to golf in Co. Kerry, Castleisland is already proving a hit with players both from the Emerald Isle and further afield alike.

It is built upon a 200-acre parkland estate that, in a former life, was home to a shooting ground, and it was designed by Dr Arthur Spring to take full advantage of the commanding panoramic views of the McGillicuddy Reeks that forms the backdrop to the lakes of Killarney.

The par-70, nine-hole layout measures just under 6,000 yards when played as a full 18-hole course, and its young years are camouflaged by the abundance of mature trees which have been incorporated into the design. It is certainly more than worth a go.
