While Druid's Glen has become the best-known piece of work by Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock, the pair also did a marvellous job with St Margaret's Golf Club, which sits very close to Dublin Airport. The course was built to the highest of standards and, within a few years of it opening, it was playing host to Europe's top women professionals when the Irish Open was played there. Ruddy and Craddock have come up with some cracking holes, notably the eighth, a 525-yard par-5 where there are three separate water hazards. It's a very pleasant place to play golf and you should definitely pop in to the excellent clubhouse for a drink or something to eat after your round.
