Set in the Dublin countryside, Hollystown opened in 1992 to wide acclaim as a fine addition to the Irish golf scene. Designed by the late Eddie Hackett, this mature parkland setting is blessed with the natural features of trees, lakes and streams. Recognition for the golf course came in 1997 when hosting the Golfing Union of Ireland Leinster Youths Golf Championship, won with a score of level par by Irish International golfer, Ricky Elliott. An extension to the facilities of an additional nine holes was opened in 1999 complementing the existing eighteen holes. This has created three loops of nine holes - Blue, Red and Yellow - and provides three distinctly different eighteen holes combinations each offering a unique challenge to all golfing standards.
