Course Description

Castlewarden Golf Club is a members-owned course located on the Dublin/Kildare road, 16 miles from the centre of Dublin city. Neighbouring golf clubs include Slade Valley and the K Club, host of the 2006 Ryder Cup. The original design work at Castlewarden was undertaken by Tommy Halpin and the layout was finally completed by the late Tom Craddock, renowned Irish International and Walker Cup player and designer of St Margarets and Druids Glen. A parkland course, it measures 6690 yards from the medal tees over a terrain that is not physically demanding but will provide a searching test of the golfers ability. Perhaps the most enduring features of the course are the greens, many of which have subtle undulations.
