Baltinglass Golf Club is located 50km south of Dublin on the N81. It was originally a nine-hole course but recently 'came of age' with the addition of a new nine holes. The striking beauty of the surrounding countryside cannot but impress a visitor to Baltinglass, the course standing on land which is also the site of the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey. Eddie Connaughton designed the new nine holes and the parkland course, which sits on the banks of the River Slaney and enjoys views of the Wicklow Mountains, is testing.
All in all, it's a cracking place and you should certainly see for yourself why the Baltinglass members are so proud of their golf club.
