Situated only an hour from Dublin, Ardee is a challenging parkland test some 6, 400 yards in length from the back tees and guarded by tree lined fairways, with water coming into play on nine holes.
Founded in 1911, the course originally consisted of only nine holes but it was extended in 1985 to the desire of Ryder Cup hero and favoured Irish designer Christy O'Connor Jnr. The course sits on lush, mature ground and offers an exceptional round of golf. With its tunnel-like fairway bordered on both sides by majestic old trees and a well-bunkered green, the long par four sixth is probably the most demanding hole on the course.
