IRELAND put on a strong showing in Paris at the prestigious World Amateur Team Championships.
The events took place over Le Golf National and Golf de Saint-Nom-La- Brèteche, two of the top-ranked courses in the country.
For the men, it was a finish of tied 19th in the Eisenhower Trophy thanks to the team of Matt McClean (Malone), Rob Moran (Castle) and Mark Power (Kilkenny) who performed particularly well on the final day. Mark Power closed with a 67 to finish in a tie for 25th in the individual standings.
Meanwhile, the women's team finished 16th in the Espirito Santos Trophy. Their squad, Beth Coulter (Kirkistown Castle), Anna Foster (Elm Park) and Lauren Walsh (Castlewarden), put up a strong showing amongst 56 competing teams. Lauren Walsh finished on a total of three-over-par to sit in a tie for 25th.
